Time To Vote

I want to promote Brendon Etter for Mayor! Considering that the last people to comment on my blog were Brendon and Michael Kirby, creator of "Brendon Etter For Mayor" on Facebook, I'm sure my endorsement will ring far and wide.

Places of the Damned

There are places where we all go and turn into a sort of mindless zombie. Not a zombie looking for brains, but rather the zombie that is milling around with no purpose as no purpose is to be had. I call these such places Places Of The Damned! These are not places necessarily tied to consumerism since those places have purposes, however crass they may be. No, these are genuinely places that make us all look like 90-year old men with confused contenances and diapers full of yesterday's apple sauce. Here are the ones that I can think. Add more.

1. Airports!
2. Banks
3. Women's clothing stores (for men only)
4. Dry cleaners
5. Traffic jams (hopefully while in your car.)
6. High school

I know, I know, there are reasons to some of these (#3 to make girlfriend/wife happy, #4 to have clean clothes), but the milling part really applies. I added high school since it was a tremendous waste of time for me.

Add, damn it, add!

They're For You

At least, that's what my niece said when she put two gummy worms on my desk. They were somewhat tasty. That capped a much better day than yesterday. I got a lot done and had minimal interruptions.

I'm at http://www.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gifWORT , finishing my bit of the revolution. Should that be a capital "R" or a lower case one? Somehow, I think a lower case one is more appropriate. It's less formal and more accessible. Or so I think.

Anyway, it's beer time. Or vodka time. Or something like that.

Piss off.

Dreams Versus Reality

I had a dream last night that my roommate was moving out. I couldn’t quite figure out why, but he was. The next part had Dave moving into a new apartment. Since I needed a new apartment, I asked him if there were any more apartments left and he said no. Then I was playing Civ III with a plasma TV hooked up to my CPU. Then it translated into reality and I was placing people on squares so they could build their cities in an optimal way. Why can’t I drink a beer or travel or go see a band or do anything I actually do in real life in my dreams. I’m either in a crisis or doing something mundane. Stupid dreams.

So far today, reality has better than my dreams. I did wake up just about the time I should be at work, but the good part is that I got an extra hour of sleep and only made it into work 20 minutes late. I went to a job site where we have a warranty problem and found out the fix would be easier than expected. Plus I had a pretty damn good tuna fish sandwich for lunch. Hooray for me, or some stupid saying along those lines.

Dreams

I had a dream in the early morning hours about a girl I liked. We, and a couple of other people, were in a grassy field on top of a cliff. She was playing with a dog and was not interested in me, so of course I was jealous. Then the damn dog was some guy and then I was extremely jealous. I woke up and just kind of laid there being happy that I had the dream at all.

What is it about dreams?

Down the Road with Linux

About a week ago my System76 computer arrived at my doorstep. I'm getting a bit fed up with the graft and bloat of Big Tech, so I'm...
