In Trouble

First I remember Shari throwing a grenade into a building across the street and it imploded.

Then I was crossing the border from Canada into the US and was pulled aside.  I had a bunch of crap in my car.  The contraband kept changing and was gold bars at one point.  Somehow I made it through.

Can't remember much more.

Burning Down the House

This will be a bit incoherent... wait, all my dreams are incoherent.

I was in East Towne Mall except that Jacob's Field was there.  The entrance had wood paneling and old furniture.  My cousin was there, too.  For some reason, a few of us decided to burn it down.

Then I was in there with old clocks, chairs, and tables.  This part is a bit fuzzy, but I know we trashed a room and piled the furniture together.

Then I was back in East Towne and it had something to do with a Stephen King novel, one he didn't write in real life.  It had demons and such.  Then I was running from some robot with other robots.  Then another clock was there and some store display in the middle of the mall.  I can't decipher much except an Asian woman help me escape.

Enough!

I haven't experienced the 90+ degree days yet this summer, but it's been 80+ about 90% of the time.  I just don't like the heat.  I think my parents lied and I was actually born on the coldest day in January of 1974.  The best night's sleep I have have in a year is the night the heat breaks.  I sleep like a baby then.

Soon... so very soon.

The Hobo from Norway

A little bit of history from the 1880 Census. This has been family lore, but is now official!

I guess my great-great grandmother answered for my great-grandfather and she wasn't to happy with his unemployment.

Martians In G-Strings Maybe?

Maybe his erection is also an antenna?

A 50-year-old man is facing multiple charges after allegedly crashing his car into a strip club on East Washington Avenue in Madison on Tuesday night.

Police said Keith Rasmussen, 50, of Racine, was asked to leave Vision's Night Club after he vomited in the VIP area. Rasmussen got in his SUV in the parking lot, put it in reverse and slammed it into the front of the building, authorities said. A witness told police he and a woman had to jump out of the way to avoid being hit.

After hitting the building, Rasmussen's vehicle jumped the curb and drove down East Washington at a high rate of speed, according to police. A concerned citizen called 911 after seeing Rasmussen's SUV pull into a parking lot at a high speed.

When police made contact with Rasmussen in the parking lot, they asked him how he was doing. Rasmussen said, "Not good," but he had "seen some nice strippers." Police said Rasmussen then denied driving the SUV, telling police Martians helped get him to his current location.

The Jig Has Been Up for Awhile

I really hoped that Obama would begin the decommissioning of the American Empire. I never thought that he would take a giant step in that direction, but he would apply the brakes to it's expansion. Tragically, he's under the same delusion as his predecessor. Afghans want self-determination and no amount of schools, vaccines or roads will change that.

The tragedy of this reality is that it would have taken no highly classified intelligence data or deeply penetrating brain power to predict its occurrence. A week’s reading at the local library about the occupations of Afghanistan by Alexander the Great, the British Empire and the Soviet Union shows each empire was sooner or later defeated and evicted—Alexander lasted longest because he built Greek colonies—by the most basic Afghan trait which has been transparently and overwhelmingly dominant since the 4th century B.C.: Afghans refuse to tolerate foreign occupation and rule.

Down the Road with Linux

About a week ago my System76 computer arrived at my doorstep. I'm getting a bit fed up with the graft and bloat of Big Tech, so I'm...
